AgeTech LaunchPad Toronto brings researchers, industry, and communities together to shape a future where every older adult can thrive.
Rooted in Toronto and the GTA, one of the world’s most diverse regions, the LaunchPad connects the University of Toronto’s world-class research and talent with AGE-WELL’s national network and a dynamic, multisectoral ecosystem of partners.
Through research, training, funding, and collaboration, we create opportunities to co-design, develop, and test AgeTech solutions that respond to real-world needs and improve the lives of older adults.

No single discipline, organization or sector can address the complex challenges and opportunities of aging alone.
The LaunchPad creates the connections that make those pathways possible
A promising research idea may need lived experience to shape it, technical expertise to develop it, a community setting to test it, health or care partners to help implement it, and the right networks and resources to take it further.
The LaunchPad connects what already exists and creates what is still missing: the relationships, opportunities, real-world settings and pathways needed to turn great ideas into lasting impact.
We bring researchers, students, older adults and caregivers, health and community organizations, industry, government and entrepreneurs together around real-world challenges — creating opportunities to define problems differently, co-design solutions, test them in living labs, and move what works into real-world settings.
